"By that time, the fire had travelled to the back of the trailer,"said Chris Ebmeyer, the local fire chief. Unfortunately they both succumbedto heat and smoke."
The boy and his grandfather were found together on a bed in a back room.Tyler's uncle, who was also killed in the blaze, was discovered in a frontroom.
The cause of the fire remains unknown, however it emerged that the trailer didnot have a working smoke detector.
East Rochester Central School District paid tribute to Tyler. "In bravelyand selflessly giving his own life, he was able to save the lives of sixothers, and he is truly a hero."
Speaking to CNN, Tyler's mother, Crystal Vrooman added: "It makes me reallyproud, but I just want him back"
